Visa Requirements

General Visa Requirements (All Applicants)

All applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Fully completed and signed visa application form

    • ONE passport photo attached to the application

    • ONE copy of the completed application form

  • ONE (1) recent 2” x 2” passport photo

    • White background

    • Clear, high quality

    • Taken within the last 6 months

  • Original passport

    • Valid for at least 6 months from the date of application

    • Must contain at least one blank visa page

  • ONE (1) copy of the passport information page

Tourist Visa Requirements

In addition to the general requirements:

  • Proof of round-trip flight reservation or confirmed itinerary

  • Proof of hotel booking or accommodation in Jordan

  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay (may be requested)

  • Applicants who are not citizens of the country of application must provide:

    • Copy of valid residency permit, green card, or valid visa

Business Visa Requirements

In addition to the general requirements:

  • Business invitation letter from the host company or organization in Jordan stating:

    • Purpose of travel

    • Duration of stay

    • Contact details of the host

  • Letter from the applicant’s employer stating:

    • Job title

    • Purpose of travel

    • Financial responsibility for the trip

  • Proof of business relationship (if applicable)

Student Visa Requirements

In addition to the general requirements:

  • Acceptance letter from the Jordanian educational institution

  • Proof of tuition payment or financial sponsorship

  • Copy of school registration or enrollment confirmation

  • Proof of accommodation during the study period

Diplomatic & Official Passport Holders

Diplomatic Passport

  • Completed and signed visa application form

  • ONE passport photo

  • Original passport + ONE copy

  • Diplomatic note stating:

    • Purpose of travel

    • Dates of travel

Official / Special Passport

  • Completed and signed visa application form

  • ONE passport photo

  • Original passport + ONE copy

  • Official note stating:

    • Purpose of travel

    • Dates of travel

Processing Time

  • Standard processing time:
     Approximately 7–10 business days

  • Processing times may vary depending on:

    • Nationality

    • Visa type

    • Additional administrative review

Applicants are advised to apply well in advance of their intended travel date.

Visa Fees

  • Visa fees vary by nationality and visa type

  • Fees are subject to change without prior notice

  • Applicants should confirm the exact fee with the Embassy before submitting their application

  • The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documentation if necessary

  • Submission of a complete application does not guarantee visa approval

  • Incomplete applications may result in processing delays or rejection
